Clinique 'all about eyes rich' Eye cream review

The first thing I noticed after having used this was how well it moisturised my under eye area, which is very important as it is because of a lack of moisture upon the skin that wrinkles occur. The eye cream is of a standard cream texture and I always found that my concealer would appear cakey even with the most loved concealers in the bloggersphere i.e. Collection 2000 concealer etc. However, after this little baby I have found my under eyes are well moisturised and feel very smoothed and refreshed after applying.

I would say that this eye cream does not, however, do anything for dark circles, or lines despite the writing on the little pot "...reduces  circles...". This may be because the lack of the ingredient, Retinol in this eye cream perhaps, but I'm simply hazarding a guess at that idea.

Needless to say, I am liking this eye cream but not loving it, simply because I would like something slightly stronger and targeted at fine lines since I am noticing them more recently! *eek*

Moreover, it is priced at £25.00, which is slightly over priced in my opinion and as this was bought on a whim I would advise researching before buying as I had liked this to work on my lines that I now have haha.

Thanks for reading. :)

Charlotte Tilbury makeover experience!

I am currently sitting at a bustop in Coventry on a sunny Thursday afternoon, and having officially finished University and having just paid a whopping £48 for overdue library books, I thought I'd make a start on this post.

On the 14th May (yesterday), I had an appointment with Charlotte Tilburys lead makeup artists for a makeover and to make some naughty purchases commorating the end of University (any excuse!)
I arrived at Selfridges at 2pm only to be told to wait around an hour because the lady booked me at 3pm in their official register, which I didn't mind. The lead makeup artist who was painting my face was called Manuel and was really nice. The whole experience was quite cathartic;  allowing someone else apppy makeup on me, which at the moment has been quite non existent, having not applied makeup in over two weeks!

I even spoke with the talented Charlotte Tilbury who insisted I choose the 'Dolce Vita' look rather than the 'Uptown girl' look. 'Dolce Vita', being a more dramatic look. Sadly, I was unable to take a picture with her as she went for a break and I left after my makeover.

However,  I found my foundation was a shade too dark, and with the 'magic cream' applied and the 'wonderglow' my skin did appear quite shiny soon after, even though I was assured this wouldn't occur. Also, I did end up removing my makeup because I found it too much during the day, however,  the look would have been great for an evening occasion or if your more confident than me!

Finally, I did leave with the 'seduction' lipgloss and the 'Dolce Vita', eye quad, so overall, it was a pleasant experience, and next time I should go with my gut instinct and speak up if something is not quite right.

My cheeky purchases! I cannot wait to play with the eye palette!

Manuel, Charlotte Tilbury's lead national makeup artist.

As you can see, my foundation was a shade darker than my actual skin colour.

*Pardon me being vain!* I loved the glowy look and it pictured really well, but it did appear quite greasy looking in real life, as I do have oily skin at the moment.

Thank you for reading ♡

Revitalift Magic Blur Review

Recently, I haven't been blogging at all because of University duties- exams, coursework, blah blah... But, now that I have officially finished University *hurraahhhh*, I am able to get my creative juices flowing and blog as much as I can, because I have really missed just sitting down and writing about things I love- Beauty and Skincare.

So, (apologies for the rambly intro), now onto the sorcery that is the 'Revitalift Magic Blur', which claims to 'instantly blurs lines, wrinkles & pores and targets the signs of ageing day after day. Look younger in seconds', however, I will have to stop you there and first inform you that this product *IS* aimed at women in the 40-60 age region, so whether you 'look younger in seconds' is something I cannot really prove, being a 21 year old and looking any younger would make me look like a teenager... which isn't a bad thing, of course!

Anyway, back onto the product, I actually love it, it's made me want to not wear any makeup as it leave my skin looking matte all day and does blur my pores which is a problem area for me. It has a mouse like texture and a pea sized amount is all you need. It is much more effective that 'Maybelline Baby Skin' and I would, hands down, say this product beats the Maybelline Pore refiner anyday! So, whether you want just generally healthier looking skin or wanting to make those 'no make up days' seem more bearable, I would definitely recommend picking this up next time your at Boots!

It has a mouse like texture and easily absorbs into the skin within seconds.

It's clear to see that before my skin was quite shiny (moisturising due *I promise lol*) and after using the 'Revitalift Magic Blur' it is nice and matte which is my preference at the moment, so for obvious reasons I would highly recommend.

Thanks for reading and please follow if you've liked. :)
