Current Foundations!

I always find, to excel in your own make up application or even others, the base always has to look flawless, how to achieve that is a whole different post (or even video- so subscribe to my Youtube *wink wink*). Once the base is sorted, everything else just manages to fit together and work.

Above are my foundations and concealers of choice that have been tried and tested and which work for me. To find out an in depth analysis of each foundation, click the link below with a whole video discussing each and every one of the above:)

Is Mac 'Soar' Worth it? Plus DUPES!!

Ever since Kylie Jenner was seen with her perfectly, plump pout, the 'Beautysphere' has fallen head over heels in a whirlwind romance with the Armenian beauty! did you get it..'whirl'wind...because she uses 'whirl' lip liner by Mac...Ok, moving swiftly on...

The obsession began when Kylie's lips appeared somewhat larger than her usual lips which got everyone asking, "What is she using on her lips?". Elder bodacious sister, Kim Kardashian, recently let slip that she actually uses Mac's 'Soar' lip liner, which has now seen the rise in this lip liner and as a result, the lip liner is most commonly always out of stock. That is until now.

'Soar' lip liner is currently online available to purchase of the Mac website here & I would hurry up and order before it goes out of stock.

However, to those who simply do not want to splurge on the £12.50 Mac lip liner, I have a cheaper option for you and it is actually the lip liner I use all of the time, like seriously, this is why I purchased another lip liner because I've been using it since forever! It is the Kiko lip liner in '311', and the picture below shows you just how similiar the shades are. The Mac lip liner is drier in texture than the Kiko which is why I always slather a lip gloss on top and the hue of the lip liner still shines through, and this is my prefered way of application.

R-Mac 'Soar'- more browny
L- Kiko '311'- more reddy.

I hope this helps and what do you think of the Kylie Jenner/ 90's lip trend?

The Bag That Just Keeps On Giving...

Statement. Chic AND Affordable! Like..I can't...I can't even insert the white girl memes here lol!

I literally have been wearing this bag non stop since my lovely friend gifted it to me as one of my present for my birthday last December and I am obsessed. It is so versatile; you can wear it casually with just jeans & trainers or really jazz it up with a lovely black fitted blazer and heels and still look put together.

It is quite small in size which I personally love since I prefer just carrying my phone, a lippy and some cash and I'm good to go! And the best thing about it is the price which is £19.99 from Zara, so it is super affordable. So what are you waiting for?!

Some BOMB ASS LASHES!!

As boring as it sounds, "growing up" really is the avenue of self discovery. You find things you like, don't like and aren't a hesitant to try out new things.

Late last year was the year I found out I have a secret obsession with lashes, ground breaking...I know, but I actually prefer them to wearing mascara! I know they're not everyone's cup of tea BUT not only do you not need to faff around with removing your mascara at the end of the day, which really is a chore in itself, all you need to do is literally rip or gently remove lol them off and Bob legit is your uncle...

I have a post on my favourite everyday, any occasion whatsoever lashes here, but, BUT, and this is a big BUT lol, if you want something more dramatic, whispy and with lots of volume, then these might just for you!

This style is called 'Lush', and they are definitely show stopper lashes! I applied them with my trustee Tweezerman lashes and Duo lash glue. However, what I will say is that they do feel heavy and take quite some time getting used to. I personally would wear them for when I'm creating theatrical or dramatic looks.

They are hand made so they feel incredibly soft to touch, I was literally stroking my lashes all day! They're original price is £14.80 however they are on sale now for £5.80! Check them out here!

Thank you for reading and please follow, P.S. would you rock these lashes?

Worth the Hype?- Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Palette

After waiting literally agess for www.cultbeauty.com for this gem to be back in stock, I jumped at the occasion to purchase this palette after cult beauty offered £5 off all Anastasia products when spending a minimum of £40 ( I think, it was a while back...oops!).

However, upon delivery and tearing the packaging open, I found the palette was quite small in size, about as small as a regular book. But, I really like how slim it is as it would be really convenient when travelling to just pop it in your makeup bag and go.

As well as this, the shades are decently pigmented (as seen in the picture below), and have a .g pan of product.

Now, the only downside to the palette are the shade ranges, as much as they are suitable to light & medium skin tones, they are not suitable to those of a deeper complexion which is unfortunate as it is a versatile product containing highlighting and contour shades in a compact size. And I don't find the highlighter shade to be as strong as I like it since it is quite a natural looking highlight upon the cheek especially for my skin tone. (Gives more of a sheen and would be nice for 'no makeup days').

Finally, I dont regret my purchase but I don't think its anything special, for example, I dont understand the matte light pink shade for the undereye area? Saying that, I definitely think its handy when travelling and is definitely a luxury not a necessity :)

However, it seem as if Anastasia has heard our prayers and has released a contour kit with medium- dark shades, check it out here :)

Editing Blog Pictures on a Budget!

Ever since I begun blogging which then led to a keen interest in photography I discovered that editing pictures is key to having decent Blog pics, especially when you don't own a fancy shmancy camera i.e. me :( or even when you just want to tweak the brightness or clarity of the image.

For those of us who simply do not own the wonderous editing software otherwise known as 'Photoshop' or the other of its participants i.e. Lightroom etc, then fear not, for I have a solution and it is called 'Pic Monkey' which is an online website dedicated towards photo editing.

It is very easy to use, with initial options of 'edit, touch up, design or collage', which then deciding on which of these you choose allows you to brighten, sharpen, adjust shadows, contrast etc, basically everything under one roof (or website, you get what I mean :P) .

I absolutely love it and is what I use all of the time. Below is an image I edited using 'Pic Monkey'.

The first image is taken using flash photography of my phone and the second bottom image is edited using 'Pic Monkey'. Not only does this image appear brighter and sharpened it looks a lot better as the contrast is not so dark and the shadows have been reduced.

Thank you for reading and what are your budget friendly editing softwares or websites?

Products NOT worth the Hype: Aesop Parsley Seed Mask

Buying skincare or make up which other Beauty Bloggers are hyping about is always, ALWAYS hit or miss. You'll either live to regret purchasing the damn thing or love it right from the get go. In this case, I'm sadly leaning to towards the former rather than the latter.

The Aesop Parsley Seed Mask boasts of being able to 'perk dull skin... act as a quick skin care cheat for those who neglect exercise or a regimented skin care regime and is great for oily/combination skin'. I disagree with the latter simply because after exercise or a regimented skin care regime you have 'that glow' if you know what I mean, and this product unfortunately doesn't give me that radiance I desire.

Saying this, the mask does help to further cleanse your face, but this is all it does. I find that it hasn't help 'draw impurities' and instead acts as a bog standard clay mask and that I actually prefer the Ren Clay Mask, which is cheaper and has more product.

What I do like about this mask is it it doesn't leave your skin feeling tight after use which is important for me since I do have oily combination skin and after having a bout of dry skin, I hate the feeling of a tight face LOL.

Anyway to conclude, I don't hate this mask, but I don't love it either and unfortunately won't be running to purchase another. But will be purchasing the Ren Clay Mask (review here) when it's back in stock!

Lashing it up errday errday!

Ever since Eyelure upped their game in Superdrug & Boots with their eyelash game, I am officially hooked on the 'Eyelure Exxagerate 141 lashes', their fluttery, wide eyed and definitely glam! They're not a feline shape like the demi wispies by Ardell, which I prefer, as my eyes are quite 'almond' shaped to begin with and I like a round and more open eye look, which is why I adore these eyelashes!

I always (95% of the time ha!) pick up a pair from the drugstore, especially when they have an offer on. They are usually priced at £5.45 but are reduced to £3.50ish when on sale, which is when I buy two lol! They are so lightweight, easy to apply and definitely everyday glam, because who doesn't want to feel glamorous all the time!?

Below are pictures with me wearing my fave eyelashes!!
